BIT - Beam Institute of Technology offers technology-related courses to adults.
We work both with companies wanting to retrain their employees, as well as with individuals who are unemployed and looking for a career change or opportunity to advance their skills.
Training that we offer to companies is tailored to the needs of the client teams and held in a format of workshops to the short-term courses.
Courses that we offer to individuals are 6-, 9- and 12-month long and lay in the domain of web engineering and machine learning. We support our students with career and job search coaching.
BIT was founded in 2022 in Berlin: we are at our fast phase of growth. Our working culture is remote-first. Currently our team members are based in the EU.

Tasks
Role
Support learning journeys of a group of students of a 6-month UX/UI engineering course.
This is an online full time program.
Classes are held via Zoom and taught in English.
During this course you train students on the following topics: UX/UI design fundamentals, prototyping, Figma, git, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Tailwind, JavaScript, React, Storybook.
Responsibilities
- Conducting lessons online that are scheduled from 9.00 to 16.30 Central European Time zone (it includes 8 academic hours with breaks): delivering material, performing live demos, answering the questions, providing individual and group feedback.
- Facilitating students' group meetings (e.g. retrospectives by the end of each module).
- Keep the classroom a safe space for learning together: modulate group dynamics so it is a constructive atmosphere.
- If you work with another teacher: coordinating with them to provide smooth narration of the material.

Requirements
Your skills and expertise
- 3+ years of proven experience in working on a team in a hands-on role as UX/UI designer and/or developer or frontend engineer or similar role.
- Experience with some of following tools and technologies and willingness to learn the ones that might be new to you: Figma, Git, HTML, CSS/SASS, JS, React, Storybook, Figjam/Miro.
- Previous experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring in a group setting.
- Fluency in English in speaking and writing, ability to adjust it for the non-native English speakers.
